Never seen it, but it must be real, since my 31 has a little hole above one of the usb ports, presumably for the "fixing" screw. Always wondered what that hole was for. Heartland?

Yea, what's wrong with them? The one I have now is awesome. It screws into the USB port onto the TB and is very secure, useful. It would allow me to use 2 devices if I have to when I am usuing my car dock. Alot of programs/devices do not get along with the TB when plugged into the docks USB ports.

I've used the single socket one only. This looks handy, though the problem with these screw-in cables is that the thread in the case tends to wear away. Magnesium alloy isn't really suitable for screw threads; Panasonic should put steel inserts in there.

    Yes, I want perfection!

If you can find the original Pansonic part fine
I you can't, do what I do ,add a powered usb hub
I find that trying to power more than one device off a single usb port is problematic
I have customers that add external hard drives , wwan usb sticks ,high power wi-fi
TopCop's link is for the Mini port replicator for a cf-74
I sell a few cf-73's with a cf-73 mini port replicator as it add's an extra com port

I have tons of powered or self powered hubs, etc. Some of them do not let the TB start up correctly unless I unplug them until after the boot up completes. It gets to be a hassle. Also, my Tb is in my car dock most all the time. It is 3 USB ports on the bottom, one on the side. That leaves ony 1 port available from the actual TB itself. On some devices, the only way I can get the machine to boot is to plug them into the TB itself. The reference manual for the TB explaines this in detail as well as possibly being a problem. My Garmin GPS Laptop system is about the only thing of any substance that does not hinder the boot if it's plugged into the dock port.

Isn't this what they call Legacy products? The one's that cause problems that is. yes, I do have Legacy Enabled in my BIOS.

If the screw is bottoming out then it is being installed too tight. I good thumb torque is all that's needed.

Yeah; I was going to say it sounds like your machine is seeing a mass storage device (or at least the pointer to one in the HAL if your flash card reader is empty) and trying to boot from it. Common problem with older machines.

Try turning off all boot devices in the BIOS like Alex sed.

I have tried doing so many different situations in the Setup but can't get it. The one thing that I never noticed before is where it says "Boot Override" my main SSD/C drive is in that list. Is that normal? I never really paid much attention to it before I started really looking into it. I can't or it will not let me move it out of there. My boot times with nothing attached to any ports runs about a minute to get connected to the internet. That's always been my time to stop the timer...What really burns me is that I can be on an internet page in 30 seconds with my 30MK2, Same OS, 95% same software, same start up items selected, etc.

I am really thinking about starting to use my MK2 full time instead of my MK3. It just runs so much better, even on squeaky clean installs.
