Hello, I just joined this forum.
I am looking for PC2-3200 512mb DDR 2 Micro SDRAM at 400mhz for the Toughbook CF-W4. I am also looking for CF-W4 hinge covers, and possible other case parts. If anyone has a link to a website that sells any of this, your help is greatly appreciated. It seems like Micro Ram is impossible to find! This computer also doesn't seem that popular, as parts seem impossible to find for it.
Thanks in advance.

Did you try here: http://www.heartlandsi.com

Left hinge cover is DFKE0774ZA-0
Right hinge cover is DFKE0775ZA-0 -
Thanks for the link, however their online store isn't open yet, but I shot them an email, so I'll see what happens.
Thanks!
Just wondering, would Panasonic sell me these parts, if I give them a call?.... I couldn't find anything about the RAM, on their website. But maybe they'll sell the hinge covers...
Thanks. -

Oh, sure they'll sell them but be prepared to get reamed in shipping. You might not, but be prepared. You can get the RAM too but it'll probably be more expensive than finding it online yourself. I don't know the part number off the top of my head though. Check the thread about the 50 Ram for a link to a memory site.
And for the record, I haven't seen the store open on the website for the last 2 years. -

I'm sorry, but what is the "50 ram" link?

The thread here in the forum on ram for CF-50.

For toughbook memory I've used memory4less.com and kahlon.com and have had good results with them.
Memory4less W4 memory
Kahlon W4 memory -

Wow, they want $95ish for the RAM!

Dewed - use their memory configurators to find the correct max RAM & specs for your machine; then go to Newegg.com & find out what it SHOULD cost.

Newegg doesn't sell ram for my machine. As I said the specs are 512 ddr II, MICRO, 400 mhz. Closest thing Newegg has is DDR 1, which as you know, is incompatible. Micro ram seems to be impossible to find.

Jeezuz H Christmas... I thought they'd abandoned that a couple years ago. Fer cryin in the mud, they've been making half-height DIMMs for over 5 years now; what do they want with a Form Factor that only saves 1/3 footprint & is almost twice as thick?
