Could someone suggest me a modern low profile linux compatible modem that fit my cf 28?
Something like the old sierra 860 with 3g hsdpa support (in Europe). Thanks

I have a card close to the cingular one and its about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch too long. Do you plan on running it with the door closed...not sure how that would work.

No,I want it to leave it in the slot permanently, with the lid closed when I dont use it. Maybe is it possible to trim the plastic but looks an hard thing to do

Is there extra length for this in the "hidden" PCMCIA SLOT? Then all you would have to run is a external antenna or find a factory style antenna to use/mod.

I have already a billionton bluetooth card there and it would be difficult to swap the sim card many times with the 3g card in the 3rd slot
