This afternoon I took a tumble while carrying the baby girl down the steps to the Dentist's office; made a misstep and fell down 2 steps onto concrete, spraining the frakk out of my left ankle.

I was so terrified I might have landed on her; she'd had a bad reaction to the fluoride rinse and was already wailing like a banshee, and there she was on the ground in front of me crying even louder.

I got a passerby to help me and her into the car and took her to the ER around the corner; they looked her over and took full-body X-Rays to make sure nothing broken and no internal bleeding. All the while she cried and howled every moment, and only slightly less when I was holding her; this lasted for most of an hour all told including the actual incident, until she passed out in my arms while I waited for the results.

Of course, the Doc came about 5 min after she passed out; the news was good, nothing to worry about, she was good to go home. *Massive sigh of relief*

Now I'm home, popping pills and waiting for my wife to get home from work to rewrap my Ace bandage. The baby grrl woke up in the car, all chipper and smiling and "my little bright-eyes" again; she spent about 10 minutes gabbling all about it to her big brother on the way home.

Jeebus, I hope this is the worst day of this New Year. I don't think I can handle much more excitement any time soon.

I used to give fluoride treatment to my children when they misbehaved or at least the "threat" of it. Solid teeth but warped minds. My ex reminds me of this on many occasions. You heal fast, a package is to be sent out today..Driller

We gave our kids fluoride tainted water to drink after they were weaned, and had the dentist put some kind of coating on their teeth. 1 cavity between them and they are now 16 and 18. Unless you count the cavity in my wallet from the auto insurance bill.

WOW! Man alive! Sorry to hear! JUST AWFUL!

I slipped and fell once HARD on some ice last year in my apt's parking lot. I landed on my CF-30. It broke my fall. I broke my right pinky (Because I was holding the CF-30 in my right hand and the handle crushed my hand). Needless to say the Toughbook saved my face from hitting the ground... :( (and obviously the computer was fine)

I think I posted pictures last year or at least started a thread about it.

Management wasn't happy to see me in their office later that day!

    Get better man! :)

Aye.. Kids will make your hairs grey for sure...
Before my girl was TWO, she came down with RSV and we avoided the dreaded hospitalization that most kids get from it by ROUND THE CLOCK nebulizer treatments.. Came out of that OK, but then as soon as she was clear of that she got a MRSA infection on her leg and spent a week in the hospital anyhow...
She turns 3 this month and starts PRESCHOOL!!
    PRESCHOOL ALREADY!?!?
    Good times....

Oh lordy. Ours were both huge; one 10lbs 12 oz and one 10 lbs 8 oz. Both induced 2 weeks early for fear of gestational diabetes, no, NOT C-section. They just keep growing like weeds, eating out out of house & home. We're so lucky. Every time I look at them, I love my wife more and more.

    :D

No, no my love. You can't have daddy's eyelids; I'm using them.

Wow dude. I guess the weight didn't register on me the first time I read your post. We'll keep the little guy in our prayers; we know he's not out of the woods yet. Good on ya, grand-dad. :)

Goodness, and I thought my little one was tiny at 9,6 pounds and two weeks early (but no diabetes luckily) and at 11 weeks he's now 16,4 pounds!
In our family everything under 5 kilo's is considered small :D

Denrosten, hope he keeps doing so well, keeps growing, developing and getting stronger. Must be exciting times!
Good thing you live in Belgium, in Holland they don't like 24 weeks old baby's, if they don't breathe themselves, they often don't treat them.

    Thanks,
He is in St Jan in Brugge and i think it is a prestige for them as he was the smallest they ever had alive.
My son has a daughter 2 weeks older than my little grandson and was 4 kilo, what a difference
