I was tinkering with a co-workers non-working ancient apple laptop and while doing a google search for Ubuntu & apple with ppc processor....I stumbled upon a new word to me:
MACBUNTU- comes in 10.04 & 10.10 versions-reading further I found this download site and tried the 10.04 version:
Macbuntu - Browse Files at SourceForge.net
    Other helpful link:
    Install Ubuntu Desktop | Ubuntu
    and this one:
    Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS (Lucid Lynx)

Everything seems to be up and running and this TB is now very "apple-y"
    Enjoy

Makes me think of Win-Punto...That's when Windows crashes one more time and I punt my laptop to Redmond.
