    Hi,

    has anyone got a full list of what media bay devices work in what models of Toughbook?

    eg. I know the floppy and optical drive are compatible through the CF27, CF-28 and CF29, does the CF-30 take the same caddy and are all the other bay devices such as the second battery & LS-120 drive still supported?

    (I realise that some of this info is scattered through the FAQs, but there does not seem to be a FAQ for the CF-30 and it would be usefull bit of info for people planning to upgrade).

    There is no backward compatibility between the CF-30 and any previous models with the exception of the WWAN/GPS sled, some keyboards, and the power supplies, which will fit the CF-29.

    I think this is all covered in the CF-28FAQ isn't it?

    Media bay compatilibility is similar between CF27,28 & 29.... It isn;t in the CF30FAQ or threads because it doesn't work... The CF-30 is a whole different animal.

    I know how you feel... When I buy something and like it... I buy all the good stuff. I did this with the CF-28, CF-29 and now have all the good stuff for the CF-30. Now I'm thinking about the CF-19... It never stops...

    We won't even talk about digital camera...
