Wooohooo! It's here! I just bought a CF-30CQS92BM and MAN is it ever SWEET!!! I bought it from a seller in Texas. I have been working a few deals with him on some other stuff.
I still need a few things... DVD R/W (Backordered nationally!) and I'm waiting on my media bay battery.
I just can' get over how frinkin fast it is. It smokes my 2.8Ghz Dell Inspiron for sure! I have just the base RAM (1GB) for now but will max it out to 4GB in the next few months. I'll also add the 200GB, 7200rpm Hitachi hard drive. After that it should smoke even faster. I bought it with the factory GPS... I think the GPS in the 29 is better (Even though I think its pretty much the same kit!) and the DIY GPS we've been adding is definitely better... But it DOES get the job done!
I'll post pics in a while!

Oh! man, start hacking it,. Don't mind the warranty.

We're all jealous! Have fun, but don't let out the magic smoke; it would break our hearts.

Pappy... this one costs too much for mr to play with it by moddingit. Besides... It has everything I need. I was toying with installing the fingerprint reader but don't know what all that entails. Maybe one of the Techs could chime in and let me know...

Fingerprint reader is by far the easiest kit to put in. It's a little box with a long long cable coming from it, the handle frame (the reader sits to the left of the handle), and a bunch of pieces of tape. Putting it in requires taking off the bottom cab (almost the same as a 29), undoing 5 more screws, and pretty much just taping things down.
If you get one, take a pic of the inside and by the left handle frame after taking it off - one giant fat screw holds it down. I'll write out some instructions like I did with the CF-18.
The only complication is if you have the wireless modem ready kit installed. You can tell by whether there's an extendable antenna on the left side of the LCD. It's a little more complicated if that's there but still really easy. -
HI Rick: I'm certainly envious. I just upgraded my 28, 800 MHz machine to a 1GHz and I feel fat. Someday a 30 for me, but probably the 35's will be out by them. HA! Spark

TB, glad to hear you recieved your cf-30. a second main batt and desktop charger(cf-vcbtb1w) work nice together, and never plug in again!
don't forget to show your house guests the youtube videos of the cf-30 toughness.
