What kind of programs you use on your toughbooks?

    i used -
Ozi - scanned maps, sailing direction and land navigation
Tsunamis - vector maps, sea navigation
GisRX - vector maps, land navigation

    What is your choice? :)

P.S. Sorry, mb it is offtopic. If it is so, please close this thread.

It is not off topic but it has been discussed in other threads. It also depends on what country you are in... Things we use in the USA may not work in Syzran, Russian Federation...

    alexram,
If you are comfortable with Ozi, stick with it. A little digging will bring up almost any map you might want(true there are a lot of African maps in Russian), and here's a spot for every US nautical chart for free to get you started. http://www.nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/staff/charts.htm#RNC
I believe someone has even come up with a turn by turn direction applet.

to captain: ozi is a good program but in a cities where road situation are changing very quickly, program that used vector maps more useful.
