help??????

What program are you using to view the movies? What codecs are installed? What are your video levels set at?
-
Plus did you install A DVD playing program?
XP does not come with built in codecs. Even though windoze media player is capable of playing DVDs you need to install the codecs for it to work. This is sometimes done by installing a commercial DVD playing app. -

im using window media player with FFDSHOW codec program i know the program work because i try to play movies via usb flash stick and it works.
-
You might try installing the K-Lite codec pack. I've been putting it on XP machines since it seems to have a good selection of codecs including the ones needed to play a DVD. Using an external DVD drive plugged into the USB port I had no issues playing a DVD on the CF-29. I have no specific DVD software on the CF-29 as it has only a CD rom drive.

oh.. i just check the FFDSHOW is a K-lite codec pack ... so something else wrong
-
FFDSHOW is a MPEG4 CODEC pack; it is INCLUDED in K-Lite. It it NOT an MPEG2 DVD CODEC; that is why we have been suggesting K-LITE because it includes ALL the most popular CODECs in one bundle.
Go here:
|MG| K-Lite Codec Pack Standard 5.9.0 Download
Get it all in one stop; plus you can wander around the site and find ALL KINDS of useful stuff FOR FREE AND GUARANTEED MALWARE-FREE.
