I work for a fire department and have been tasked with getting our integrated GPS that came with the toughbook to work with a mapping program that another fire chief/developer has created. The first problem is, he has given me the rights and permission to test this out on the toughbook but at this time while in beta he is only giving full support to android and iOS systems. This is a HTTP5 system and pretty much gives you a link when a dispatch has come out. when you click on the link it takes you to a website that uses google maps and has an enroute and on scene button and shows the incident location on the map. It also shows each unit that is enroute on themap in realtime as they more in on each other.
The problem i am having with the toughbook is that when the i navigate to the link and click on it, it shows the location of the incident and also shows the location of the truck, but as we move it does not update in realtime. If i was to close it and reopen it, it would again show our new current location but then not move again.
I was told that there may be some setting within the browsers that we are using or also within the GPS software that came with the toughbook but i can not find anything that i think would be relevant. I have tried using FireFox and google Chrome for browsers.
Please let me know if you have any input as we would really love to get this system working.

May I ask what GPS software you are using on the CF-19?
For information I use Ublox Utility (u-center 6.21) for tinkering/testing. CF-19 CJBCNBA. OEM GPS There "might" be something in there you can use.
For wildland fire mapping I'm using USAPhotomaps. For what that is worth for you.
Is there a way to set up to reload refresh the page automatically?

I would think, it is an Java based App. Is Java up to date and allowed in the browser? Have u tried an differnt browser? Please activate the console in the settings of Java in the system preferences 2 c, what's going on.

For Firefox there's ReloadEvery
and for Chrome there's ChromeReload
but whether either of these would work with your application or be reliable enough for your purposes I've no idea.
There used to be a way in Firefox using about:config but not sure about now, it's been a while. -

f5 will reload the page with just the push of 1 button.
have you tried it on another computer, just to make sure it isn't the gps software; in which case, the programmer should really answer your question.
