    sorry for my long post:

    Hi,
could someone help me out, to get informations about equipment to copy HDD's to annother identical HDD
    from my CF-19 mk3 and CF-31 mk1 ?

I read a lot about it - but didn't understand much... because i am a novice.

Years ago, i found something about copy with/over the PCIMCIA express slot.

Than i found an adapter here:
    https://www.mruggedmobile.c...

    Panasonic Toughbook HDD Connector - Serial ATA adapter - CF-30 / 31/ 19 / 74/ 52 / 53

But first of all, i am not shure about compatibility with named models.

    Found on amazon a review:
    https://www.amazon.com/Pana...

He was talking about to watch out, because of diffeent models....

But stil, i don't know about the equipment i need.

A german private service center told me, that i had to put out the HDD from the caddy...

About: what exactly i minimum need to do a complete copy to annother identical hdd - no final answer...

I here someone, ho know about that? - or is this at least partically blocked from panasonic,
because of fraud -stolen HDD's etc. ?

Sorry for all my questions - i feel a little bit as a notebook - dummy---

To make a clone is not that difficult unless the hdd is encrypted, then you need a identical hdd and clone the serial nr from the original hdd and for that you need som special eqiupment to program chip on the hdd, but this is only if its encrypted, if not you can boot the system from a cd, are a few of this cds out on the web "hiren boot cd" is one and you just add the extra new disk as a external usb disk and make a clone. and then you dont need to take out the original hdd from the caddy, but the hdd you want to clone to needs to be conected with usb as an external hdd.
