This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I have played with it some before, didn't have the time to learn how to do a lot. Just some wifi hacks. Look for "backtrack" they have plenty of tools built in the OS and it can be set up to dual boot. I always keep a copy around just incase.

    ROB, Networking and Network Security or PENTESTING are entirely different animals. (you spelled EXPERIENCE wrong)
    Plus, having a degree is meaningless, just saying.
    I have a friend who has his B.A. and can't handle a standard linksys wireless router.. We won't even get into DD-WRT..
    I have been networking since 1995, I got that part covered. ;)
    Pentesting only a few years as a part time thing...
