Are you using the Gobi 3000 LTE card in the C1? Is it possible for existing Gobi 2000 users to install the software, switch the module and have LTE speeds?

My 31 mk1 has no 3000 upgrade kit available "yet" from Panasonic. The aftermarket might be another story.

I'm glad it's working for you. Now I need to see about getting a WWAN upgrade on my CF-53.

Yes yes yes.... So which MC7700 card would drop right into my 31, give me LTE speeds, and 2 extra inches?

LMAO! Yes, you can increase your aggregate by at least 2" guaranteed!

You need at LEAST an MK5 CF-19 for 4G LTE, MK2 for 31's and C1's too.

FWIW, because it's not a "Panasonic branded" 4G LTE card, the software switch (wireless switch utility) doesn't do squat... it's always on. I don't care though!

    Rob,

What happens if you try to use the 8770 in an older panny than mentioned above? Will some functionality work or will it be chaos?

I remember you wanting to put this in, but it does work nicely?
How fast is it? Much faster than a Ericsson F5521GW with CDMA/HSDPA/21Mbps D/L?

    Hi Rob,
I followed your thread on installing an MC7700 (unlocked) in a CF-C1 (mk2) but I am having a hard time getting the drivers to install. It seems to leave an MC7700 item in the device manager as well as not picking up the card in the Manager program.
One main question that I have is which ID number do you assign the WWAN card in the BIOS. I have a CF-53 that I installed a WWAN and the ID was set to 0 and seems to work great. Just wondering if I am doing something wrong or out of order.
    thanks.

SHOULD be 08, but 04 is for the GOBI and it worked for my CF-C1...
