Picked up a Toughbook (CF-29E / mk2) at the local city surplus auction - less than $200... included the charger and a spare floppy drive caddy. (edit: Looking at the configurator, I find that mine shipped with floppy drive only)
A couple Ebay orders later, I swapped out the floppy drive with a DVD burner (many thanks to 'Toughbook' for the excellent drive swap how-to)
Got XP Pro loaded and activated with no problems. Got the built-in WiFi working, though I had to dump the useless (to me) Intel ProSet app and use Windows' built-in wireless capabilities before it could even latch onto my wireless router.
The other drivers I loaded in besides WiFi were: chipset, audio, modem, and video. There remains one "Unknown Device" under Device Manager... would like some insight as to what it is so I can grab that driver. The Device Instance ID is ACPI\MAT0019\2&DABA3FF&0
