Hello, all. My new CF-31 just arrived today and it is quite a machine. Intel i5 2.40GHz, 6GB RAM (but I am limited because I require a 32-bit Win7 OS for my work programs), 500GB 7200RPM, Gobi2000, FP reader, SmartCard reader, DVD/CD-RW, backlit chiclet keyboard, etc. I am very happy so far with one exception and although I have seen it discussed here before, I haven't really seen any resolution so I wanted to address it.

When I go into the BIOS and switch to Touchscreen mode instead of Auto or Tablet (because I cannot stand the sensitivity or lack thereof in tablet mode, as well as the clicking upon release of the stylus instead of contact), I am unable to calibrate the Touchscreen using the included utility. The cursor and stylus remain pretty far off. If I try to use the included utility, I get a "Data Error" from CalTUWin application. I tried the suggestion of using the WindowsXP drivers instead, but when I run the CalWin directly after installing those drivers, the Touchscreen will not let me click on the red cross because of how far off the calibration already is; I simply cannot reach it.

Any help/suggestions is much appreciated and thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

    Ethan,

I had it working using the XP drivers for touchscreen mode, but after I recently reloaded, I couldn't get it working either.

The sensitivity is AWEFUL on tablet mode. I would agree! I wish I had an answer to this exact same question!

    Thanks

Thank you, Pinecone...it's really frustrating and I have only just gotten my CF-31. I can only imagine Rob's frustration or that of anyone else who has been dealing with it for an extended period of time.

Even after i got the Touch calibrated in Touch mode on the last install, I still couldn't double click, and the utility to make it so you can hold down CONTROL + click = RIGHT CLICK - DIDN'T WORK!

As far as I'm concerned, it just isn't possible. I've called Panasonic TWICE about the issue too! Nothing from them either!
