I'm an ancient proto-geek, was repairing TVs in 1959 at age 9...

This is just an intro, more later. My pooter is a slug right now, got too many (38) FF tabs open but can't shut then down until I bookmark the needed ones.

Right now, a keystroke is >20 secs time. I wouldn't have posted this but it;s part of the signup. (??)

I'll make a real post later and ask the moderator to nuke this one.

Welcome to the nuthouse, fellow scaly. I'll warn you; once you get started with ToughBooks, you can't stop. Too many is never enough.

Get XMarks. Or enable FireFox Sync. Either option will allow you to keep your open tabs after a browser restart; or even get your open tabs & history on another machine.

Yeah, yeah. Some dou$he might hack their server and get all my pr0n surfing history; I say so what? Yeah, my junk still works and I still like looking. And my wife is allright widdat; as long as she still gets all my touching.

The alternative with FF is if you right click on any open tab, there's an option to "Bookmark All Tabs". I'll do that, then save to a bookmarks folder named after the date like so: 1.20.2012. That way I can keep my current tabs stored in an orderly fashion so I can go back later and pick out just the tabs I want, and still start a new session to get my browser working right again. It's funny to go back and look sometimes; I have folders that are more than 7 years old. I'll sometimes click on the links (the ones that still work) and be like "Wow... I can't believe I EVER gave a d@mn about THAT".

Of course, you can also set FF to start every time with your tabs from the last session; but if you open a "Private Browsing" session, it stores it the same way automatically for you. You can reboot to clear the memory, then when you restart FF, your latest state is preserved.

BTW - Right now, I have 67 open tabs.

Toughbooks? NA! They aren't an addiction... Not at all... :D

First it starts as a mere interest, then you buy one. Then you find an excuse to buy another to mount in your vehicle

Then you mount one on your balcony for music and one in your boat for navigation.

Now after ALL your tech employees see how awesome Toughbooks are, they all buy one or 2 (NOT EVEN KIDDING).

After that's done you set your wife up with one (even though she inevitably complains because it's "ugly").

Now that your wife has one, you set your mother up with one, your mothers company up with 2 more, and sell ALL of your best friends Toughbooks including, help one of them install one in HIS car for carputer purposes...

At that point, you've already started a business selling them. You also create a website which explodes over night... :D

Then you go get a "Toughbook" tattoo because you've gone completely INSANE at that point...

It's a slipperly slope. Good luck new guy! :D

Anyone here have a working Toughbook with a REAL tire track on it. I bet there is.
