I have an opportunity to buy a cf-29 without WIFI because it was used in some federal agency. How difficult is it to install an internal card into such a unit or should I forget the purchase?
    Appreciate any help

Installing the wifi card is pretty easy, they cost < $10 to about $50 for a powerful one. However it is not so easy to install the wifi antennas in the display casing if not already installed.

Time for the experts to weigh in --- do the Fed models come with antennas installed?

Kevin.. no worry about the antena. All cf-29 model has a provision for wireless antena. You only need to have a wireless card and remember mini pci card not pci express. I do beleive that you don't have any jumper for your wireless card but it is not a problem just connect all the antena cable directly to the card.

I took to plunge and bought the CF-29 with no WIFI. Really appreciate the suggestions, I've already read many of the suggested threads on this site but will now redouble my efforts and read as much of the past posts as possible. Thanks again and I'll try to keep the newbie questions to a minimum.
