The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. I am new to this forum. I wanted to join because I am an employee of Panasonic and I work for their "Toughbook" division. I figured joining this forum would help me learn new things about the Toughbooks. I've been scanning through this forum and haven't found too many of the models I work with on a regular basis. I have been working on the CF-30's, CF-31, CF-19's, CF-C1, CF-52's, CF-74's, CF-F8's, CF-F9's, CF-T8's, CF-U1's, CF-H1's, and CF-W8's.
Is this the right forum for me?

Welcome Scott , to the most popular Toughbook forum ever

We talk about some you mentioned such as
    CF-30's, CF-19's, CF-52's, CF-74's, CF-F8's,

We tend to be into the rugged and semi rugged models here
I sold my F8 after 6 months use as I didn't like it too much

there are a great group of guys here that will welcome you and help you with the toughbook. It will involve some amount of elbow grease and a lot of time reading through the threads and stickies. I'm sure the forum members welcome you as a fellow toughbook junkie and addict. It's even better that you work for panasonic and on these trusty little laptops. History takes some difficult times and events like "playing in the sandbox" to create a versatile and almost indestructable laptop that you have the pleasure to work on. We look forward to swapping info and learning "insider info" that you may be able to share. The moderators are truly "Super" and have more than a wealth of resources to draw from. Two good things about you coming to this forum is you're one of THEM and you're here! I enjoy the personalities here and the willingness to bravely go where no one has gone before. Welcome again, I know I'll learn here.................Driller

Thanks Driller. Any "inside" info I can provide, I will. I've only been with them for 5 months though so I may not know to much now but I have learned a lot in the past 5 months. My purpose of coming here was to learn and help with Toughbook information. So far, the people in this forum are great and I'm glad to be here. :D :D

While it is true that most of the conversations deal with the rugged systems, there are some of us who like the "wimpy" Toughbooks - The W, T, R, Y and F models. So don't feel bashful about disucssing them either.
