New here, just got a CF-28 model for a steal. Paid less that 100.00 for it. Got it from someone who really didnt know much about it. Just started playing with it and its pretty cool.
Battery needs replacement though, only lasts about 15 mins.
How long would a good battery normally last?
I plan on getting one and was wondering.
Great forum here. I looked around and the info on here is fantastic. Great resource to use.
Wanted to say hello to everyone. I am sure I will ned some expertise here.

Hi Kevin, welcome to the ToughBook forum!

A new battery should last 3+ hours, closer to 4 hours for the enhanced "B" orange tab version. Can also get a second battery for the media bay that adds 2-3 hours more runtime.

There is a battery that will fit into the same place the optical drive goes. And if you run across any other deals like that and don't take them, email me ;)

kmhene, I broke down and bought the replacement battery from batteries plus as I didn't want to risk getting a dud off of ebay as most of the aftermarkets on there are and I recently obtained a brand new media bay battery and get about 10-11ish hours between the two. Granted that is not at full brightness as I usually use it at night.

    Media bay battery partially ejected:

I am EXTREMELY happy with its performance. I'll fire you a PM with some realtime specs or post em up if anyone is interested, I need to do a battery refresh...BAD. I've only had 15 minutes of battery left for the last 3.5 hours lol.
