GO NOW!
If I had more money in my Paypal account I would have bought their entire stock... But I just blew my wad on a ton of other parts! I could only buy 5 plus two DVD R/W drives. (This is really where knowing a generous millionaire would come in handy!) They are also posting that the 7200rpm, 80GB drives should be in stock on 5/5/08

But they are SATA. -
Modly... You really can't see that they are in stock? Maybe I need to dump my cookies... -
I got 2 Hitachi 7,200RPM 200GB SATA 2.5" Drives sitting in my car that I got for free
They will be installed once I get my T9300.
Why not just get the 200GB ones?
EDIT: Nevermind, you guys probably need PATA. -
Yup... They are GONE! Sorry... I wanted my homies to get first crack. I'll bet those guys selling them for $200 a pop got them.
Either that or they only got 10 in this time... I was lucky I was on top of it... As soon as the email came in (Auto notify) I was on it like a buzzard on a Gut Wagon. -
They will be.... Ahhh... Nevermind...
Gotta love the guys who stop by just to.... Ahhh... Nevermind.... -
All I meant is I didn't see why these are in such demand and hard to get, when everywhere I look I see 7,200RPM drives for sale.
I was gonna toss the 2 I have here up for sale since it seems like so many people want them (and try to make a killing since I have a source to get more), but then I realized the PATA versions must be harder to find than the SATA I always see. -
We can get SATA 7200 drives with no problem, but we can't use them in our CF-28's or CF-29's. Only those who went all out for a CF-30 (Which can still cost well over $3000) can use a SATA drive.
Hitachi discontinued the PATA version of their 7200rpm drives last October, and no longer makes them. -
Modly is, of course, 100% correct. I still haven't seen any word as to what Seagate is planning though. I guess since Hitachi has bowed out of the 2.5", 7200rpm, IDE market that Seagate is being inundated with orders.
