8400GS is fairly weak though, probably will not be able to effectively use all 512MB.

It is also ONLY for desktop computers, so if you want to talk about this one I would highly encourage you to post this on DesktopReview.com

It also uses a rebate, which I'm going to guess they'll wiggle their way out of paying you. Beware.

I appreciate your input on this, but our group here... we're not like your typical Dell/HP/LENOVO/ INSERT BRAND NAME HERE crowd. We are sortof family; most of us actually know each other, so we don't mind a bit of OT, if it means we can share a good deal with some of our friends.

I am FULLY aware that this is NOT Cutting edge tech here, nor is it laptop hardware; but I also know my ToughBook friends ALSO have desktops, and some of them service desktops, and this is more than serviceable for everyday use. If we were gamers or bleeding-edge Techno-addicts, we wouldn't be tinkering on 5-year-old ToughBooks.

I didn't check how much room the card needs , and it would not fit in my small form factor Shuttle case

Now mnem...don't go upsetting the Dull followers. They have a habit of getting distracted by shiny objects. BTW, when was the last time Newegg stiffed you on a rebate? Never happened to me (although there was this one time when I bought a hard drive from Dull....)

I think that’s what Greg is saying that they count on many people forgetting or not bothering to send in for the rebate

I've already talked with Greg about this misunderstanding; we'ze all chill... Let's not go picking on Dells and making him think I was fullovit.

As for the rebate, I've NEVER been stiffed on one from NewEgg or Buy.com; can't say that about Fry's or ZipZoomFly tho... though, every time it happened to me it was a matter of an incorrect end date on the rebate which I could have easily double-checked myself by clicking on a MFR link in the product listing.
