What's the newest video driver for a CF-29 MK2 (with XP SP3 installed)? The video driver I have says it's "driver date: 2003-12-16" "driver version: 6.14.10.3732".

I saw a driver file on one of the Panasonic sites that appeared to have a newer date, but when it unpacked the actual driver inside, it was the same date/version as my current one.

Or is the latest video driver for this thing really almost 6 years old???

This "thing" (CF-29) is MORE than 6 years old. I think that is the newest one that you can get... Why are you looking for a newer version? Is something weird or wrong going on with the current set up?

Well, some software I was trying to run says it's "unable to run because your video card drivers are out of date or unsupported. Please make sure you have the latest video card drivers installed."

I know, I'm probably expecting a little too much out of my Toughbook, but I figured it was worth a try anyways, even if all I ended up able to do would be to log in for a couple minutes at a time with all options turned to minimums to check my messages. Maybe if I try an older revision client with a patch installed so it doesn't report its version it'll work...

You may want to see what the minimum your software supports... I'll bet you that it isn't your drivers... It's your video card.

HUH? Add the question to the sticky or add the sticky here? I would think this is pretty much common sense... (Thought I realize that it in short supply sometimes... Especially at my house sometimes!)

Yeah, it's probably the graphics chip it doesn't like. Seems the minimum is "Intel 945 chipset", and the recommended list doesn't even show Intel chipsets.

Then again, it also says minimum "NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or better", and it runs on my desktop no problem with a "NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600XT", so it's hjard to say.

(Oh, and I ended up just installing a 3rd-party text-only client. Can't see where I'm at, where I'm going, or what's around me, but it should still be fine for things like checking my messages or messaging someone or whatever.)
