    Panasonic Take Note

This gps antenna placement is the closest to perfection that I have ever seen on the tablet models

No awkward bump-out on the side like the stock gps

And an improvement over the sarantel antenna lid placement that sticks up a bit too much on the compact cf18/19 models

I see the "Across the room" shot... Any close-ups? Info on the antenna? Where to get it? That's the info we need...

Is it a totally different antenna or is it just a cover over an existing one?

Looks like it gets a good signal! ;)

Hey Rick I had to steal that pic ( and crop the picture to get rid of that symbol on the bottom of the picture)

I just found it when doing a search earlier

I'm sure Teo will fill us in on all the info :)

That top cover ,normaly has no antenna's, and he has a modded a yellow plastic cover over the updated active gps antenna
That antenna that was used must be a lot smaller than most to fit there
I know on my cf30 the standard antenna in has quite a large bump-out

At first I thought he found a GPS antenna that fit up there with the covering already provided. I buy the 12m X 12mm X 7mm patch antennas from Jim Gray that would work great on the outside like that. You would just need a thin covering of Kydex or something to make it more secure.

Rick, I read about this on Rob's forum. I think he did use a ceramic patch like the one you use, and the yellow thingy is a piece off his toolbox or something. Clever bugger.
