I was reading on Gamber/Johnson's website and they had a notice stating not too hot dock the CF-30. I contacted G/J about the details and they said Panny had notified them not to do this, and stated it had something to do with the computer not being able to know something about the power.

I am not sure what's up with this? Is there something I can do to the CF-30 to make it able to do this? I take mine out of the dock alot with work and hate that now I have to shut it down, then start it right back up.

Can't you just put it into hibernation?

I did some reading on Microsoft's site and it stated that if you cannot hot swap, then you must do a cold swap, which is off, and not to do a warm dock, which is hibernate. Whether this pertains exactly to our's I don't know? When I get a moment I am going to contact Panny's tech support and see what they say. I will be sure to let you know what they say. It seems strange to me that they would not allow this with these type of mobile computers.......

BTW, she said that it's all docks, not just there's.
