First off I have a CF-18 KH2ZXBE-U with XP Pro.
I lost my Recovery CD's so I used another OEM Windows XP Pro CD to boot up and then just entered my product code in.
I then went to the panasonic web site and downloaded/installed the drivers.
When I go into the device manager some drivers are not installed.
The drivers are loacted under other devices and are MC75, Network Controller, UGX, 2 unknown devices, video controller and video controller (VGA Compatible)
I tried to update the drivers and installed from the loacation where all the drivers are. Nothing seems to be working.
I also dont have any wifi but that might be connected to the missing network controller, but i dont know.
Any help or pointers would be great.

Your first step would be to read the *READ BEFORE POSTING**The Ultimate Toughbook Resource Thread* located here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/pan...sting-ultimate-toughbook-resource-thread.html

Ive spent quite a few hours looking over the posts on this site before I decided to post anything. The one post under the cf 18 link that you sent me does not help me out at all. The problem hes having and the problem that I am having are slightly different.
Any help would be great thanks -

TEST site:forum.notebookreview.com/panasonic - Google Search
Replace the word TEST with your query.
This will narrow it down for you thanks to Azrial.
This is "cf-18 install order" (I entered these words in Google in place of TEST)

Yes when I downloaded the drivers that was my first step. With the help of other from this site I was told to install some of the drivers in a certain order which worked great.
The main issue I am having is with the network controller drivers. -

welcome to the forum, on fleabay a seller Mark Hawkins may have the recovery disc you need that will make life so much simpler. There is also this guy JB007Rules thatyou can go to his website(look for it in his response as it provides a link) and he may be able to direct you into these recovery disc you need to do this job as well. he just needs the complete model number that you have already provided and he can send you what you need. His prices are usually less than what you'll find on fleabay. he's a good resource as you will find many on this forum are. stick around and you'll love the family here, they're witty and loaded with tons of knowledge.......Driller

Get the Recovery CD's, do the install and add your service packs and other stuff you need then make a disk image. Makes life so much less stressful.
My first install on a CF-18 years ago took me only about 4 days to get everything workingStill have it as it was my first Toughbook, that got me started on this addiction and I haven't found a cure yet.

Panasonic does put out this information and it is readily available. Go to Official Support Download Center of the Drivers, Manuals and FAQs | TOUGHBOOK | Panasonic start the search for drivers for your model and lo and behold there is a PDF giving the EXACT order of driver installation.

Incorrect on all older models
They have EXACT order on a few of the latest models, especialy upgrades to vista and W7
Attached is the cf-18 mk-2 so called driver order sheet , you will notice there is no real organization ,and if you follow the driver order listed ,many features will not workAttached Files:
