I have yet to see Norwegian keyboards for any toughbook aside from stock installed ones. I have the same issue with Swedish or Hungarian. I don't think anyone sells them separately.

EET has some toughbook parts listed but no keyboards, you could check with EET Group and email them a question. There has to exist some SWE/FIN keyboards since the laptops are sold here as new also :)

Yeah, of course they exist. But they are not sold separately. So if you have a UK or US machine and you want physical Norwegian or Swedish layout, you're buggered. I gonna email Panasonic Sweden. Might as well ask them about Norwegian as well. I'll check back.

Even the part numbers for those keyboards (swe/fin, norwegian and nordic) would be nice to know. It would help the hunt :)

I have switched the keys from German keyboards to US. I keep all
the old broken keyboards laying around til I have enough to make my own.

You'd be surprised how many older laptops have the same keys used on the
    CF-29!

So if you can find a older Nordic keyboard with the same keys your in luck.

I had a few older Dell laptops and the keys fit perfect on the 29 keyboard.

Ohh! Nice! So now that I'm getting a CF-18, the bloody thing shows up...

Damn it all, I'm getting one anyway. I'm giving the Cf-28 to me mam. I have a bad feeling she wont make heads or tales of the US layout... Ta, mate!

EDIT: Who the bloody hell is Bert? I know I'm knackered, so I'm definitely missing something here.

    I was hoping to find a Nordic keyboard as well so I could say;

One for Nordic Norman & one for Sven from Sweden, that's got a bit of a ring to it dude.

The only thing I could think of that rhymes with Buggered is Bert - ello

    :D :D :D :D

They responded with a phone number i have to call. Apparently Toughbook service doesn't do email contact. Gonna call em i school where I'm not paying for the hour long wait until the connect me with someone who's not battery powered and and can actually say more than "Please hold."

    good luck Bert.. :)

if i dont get over an nordic one, i`ll prob. go for the swedish layout.
but how is it to get a hold of a backlit swedish/nordic? could we just build the keys over from a nordic to an backlit?

i think the norwegian, danish and swedish is the same one actually. with several letters in different colours on the same button.

    Like this one for instance.

If your suggesting changing the keys from a standard keyboard to a backlit, try doing the Euro Millions, I think you'll have more chance. If the Euro comes in then don't forget it was Bill from Blighty who gave you the heads up. :)

So, in the link I posted the item description is wrong!! Should it have said, Scandinavian or Nordic??

In that link is Scandinavian layout, four languages in one :)

Finnish and Swedish are the same (black letters). Norwegian and Danish layouts are the ones with green and red coloured letters. Total of 5 different keys on in these layouts and I wonder why NO and DK have those keys switched around in the first place.

No i dont think so. These keyboards are more and more common, but far from ever computer sold in sweden and denmark (dunno about norway) have it.

I remember seeing red letters on the swedish cf-30 i used a while back. but i cant remember the exact layout. it might be specifically swedish or the universal scandinavian which i posted a picture of.

My CF-28 and my CF-29(currently shipping from the US) are from the states, and my swedish H1 doesn't have a physical keyboard.

Neither (as they mean same) :D

In that ebay link is basically SWE/FIN keyboard. However the layout itself is non-standard, looks like US keyboard with some switched keys and ½-sized enter key.

Or just do what i did. 5$ keyboard stickers with the correct layout. The backlight is a bit buggered on the keys with the stickers, but whatever. I can live with it if i get å ä and ö.
