I have recieved a new sled for ATT HSPDA Service. I installed the mobilink software for the first time. After launching the application it gives me a "Radio Off" status even though the LED is lit on the front of the toughbook. What am I doing wrong?

I checked the bios to see if the WWAN modem was enabled but it doesnt show an option to enable/disable the modem. The only light that comes on is the Wireless Power led, the message and antenna lights do not come on. The device manager shows the Novatel HSDPA modem functioning properly and the query modem commands are working properly. When i launch the mobilink software it gives me the "Radio Off" status. If i click connect then it says WWAN client adapter disabled. Any ideas?

Well I see we have the same issue. Did you ever find a fix?

Did you try and reset the BIOS to factory defaults? That worked for me when my GPS stopped working after I tried to install this sled. If the sled was not fried that was what I would have tired next.

I updated my CF29 to the latest bios they had on the toughbook site. I would think that this latest upgrade would include any previous fixes in older bios versions, wouldn't it? Or should i do a backwards firmware upgrade and work my way back up to the latest?

I bought another WWAN card and it will not power on. I think I screwed something up when I opened up the case to re-seat the connections. I did get my GPS working however. I think the WWAN power connector got damaged some how. Looks like I will need a new ribbon cable.

Hmm.. what revision of the CF-29 are you using?

This might answer the question everybody wanted to know... can 3G (Rev A / HSDPA) sleds work in CF-29, answer is no? I got myself a CF-30, but it doesn't have WWAN. :(

Well i got my new Sprint REV A. sled in and this one shows up in the bios but is disabled and greyed out so I cannot change it to enabled. The powerswitch on the front does allow me to turn it on/off. Any ideas?
