Why are the Police even involved in this? It's absurd. The law recognizes that a child is not responsible for his actions at this age; he is a minor. At most, there should have been some juvie hall agent there to sort things out and present the parents with a bill, which, in my mind, should be contested.

15-17 unsecured, unsupervised laptops and an unsupervised 11-year-old. Who's at fault? REALLY?

Also, I do believe someone is trying to make bank on this; I find their valuation, ESPECIALLY given the description of the laptop cart, highly dubious even given the cost of custom software packages which they would NOT have to license again; probably covered as part of a service contract.

In fact, I suspect once depreciation and the actual replacement cost of these machines under a service contract are considered, the actual loss will be more like 10% of what they're claiming in this BS article. and THAT only if the child managed to hit EVERY SINGLE MACHINE in the cart.

    Blippin' ar$emonkeys.

Reason why i have many toughbooks is because when i lose a computer game, i have the bad habbit of destroying my computer/laptop. The Toughbooks can handle my (sometimes) aggressive gaming behaviour. I have to admit, that most of my toughbooks have no 3D card inside, but better a working laptop for gaming, as 10 smashed notebooks with full 3D dX 11 cards.....

Oh, and am i one of the few Toughbook users, that use a toughbook for gaming only ?

Nope. I still like mine for lighter gaming. Hoping in the next year or two I can get a I5 CF-31. I have gamed on CF-28MK2,3, CF-73Mk3, CF-50MK4, CF-51 Mk3, CF-30, CF-29, CF-18, CF-19. For now as my travel gamer I had to step up to a Used Alienware M11X R1. Good little machine and allows me to play Duke Nukem Forever.
