I like the mounting brackets. I'm getting one for the fire truck.

    Rob -

I know Stanley is an old name... but I can guarantee you that if the original MSRP on it was $100, then it is most definitely a cheap Chinese import. That's not to say it won't work; but I wouldn't expect to get an actual 800W out of it on; you'd be lucky to see that on a resistive (incandescent lamp) load, and much less on any inductive (motor) or capacitive (Switch-Mode power supply) load.

Shop these kinds of device carefully and you can get a decent, serviceable unit for a bargain; I have several. Jump into it just because of a name and you'll much more likely wind up with a POS that's actually good for about half what it's rated at, or even less.

You know how you rant & rave against anything but genuine Panasonic AC adapters for your ToughBooks? Well, these are EXACTLY the same thing; a switch-mode power supply. They're just a step-up type instead of a step-down type.

    Look at this.

Who is Baccus global? Googling now

    Baccus inverter

I don't like the fact that I can't find any real specs on it.

This is the one I use for the machines I build at work. They run a 1/3 hp 120 volt burner motor easily. They do cost $220. 1250 watt continuous

    Tripp lite

Baccus global imports its products from faraway lands and through its "partnership" with Stanley/Black n Decker, Baccus slaps a Stanley sticker on it.
Stanley refers warranty and tech questions to Baccus.

Google info. I have no personal history with this company or product

This device will not work if connected to a system where the ground and neutral are bonded. It will charge a DeWalt 18V battery utilizing the clamp on battery connectors. Which is how I figured out the bonded part. DeWalt charger worked fine (129W BTW) and has a two wire cord.
My power house is in the replacement mode...should finish today. Last night I ran the house on this charger...basically one to two low watt lights, my wireless router and a cell phone charger. Four 6 V batteries connected to my 24V solar array...lol and just tapping two of the batteries with this 12V device.
Sun on the panel now and running wireless and a Pana charger.
To eliminate the bonded bit I have the ground disconnected. IOW separated the bare wires.
Is this safe? Well in my case the house 110 is properly grounded so that's o.k. I am the only one here and I know where the jury rig is.
Temporary Make Do Inc. :) very temporary!

One interesting thing....the device is drawing power with the switch off...you get a spark when putting the clamps on the battery. In an enclosed space you could light up the vapor from the batteries. Wear glasses and duck.

I imagine the neutral and ground issue is to prevent the possibility of 120vac going through the chassis of your vehicle.

Why won't the board display my attached pic? It only displays the link.

Ran a half horse power drill @ 476W Soldering iron. But not a Makita charger. I've had issues with Makita before but in my previous case the Makita charger died. They don't like modified sine wave inverters.

Power house is done except for the panels on the roof.

This is the third time I posted this...total freeze up twice.

Interesting thing of the day....phone jack style cable for Xantrex inverter needed to become a little longer. Then the remote control didn't work. Found I needed to flip the connector. Luckily I could do that in the house yellow to black, black to yellow, red to green, green to red...works perfect.

Jeff...shrugs...aren't CF-74's supposed to have fans?
