Guys... it's Christmas again, and I've added my voice to the existing Merry Christmas thread; but I really wanted to take a moment to look back to last Christmas, when you guys came together and gave me faith again in humanity. And then AGAIN, when I was melting down after my mom passed...

I know I haven't been around a lot; I mostly lurk lately. That's partly because of the paradigm shift in my house; Beth has a good job, so she's now paying the larger share of the bills, and I'm the one taking care of the kids and adjusting my work schedule to fit those obligations. because I CAN and she really can't.

You guys have no idea how much I STILL use that CF-29; it is the laptop I COUNT on to be there. If there's NOTHING else, it's in my trunk; it's the one with a serial port so it's the one I use to nuke CISCOs, plus perform Network Analysis, WiFi surveys, debug servers as well as Diag OBDII for my cars and program the transmitter for my RC Helicopter. Anytime I need to COUNT on a laptop working, it's there.

No, it's not shiny. Or fast. But it NEVER lets me down. Just like you guys didn't. And I am thankful to all of you who were a part of it, and to those who again helped out when my world turned upside down and I couldn't hold on.

    Thank you all,

    mnem
