If you're like me, you've probably had a Mag-Lite in your toolbox and a Mini-Mag in your pocket or on your belt since you were old enough to know which end of the socket goes on a ratchet.![]()
Well, Target (Pronounced Tar-Zhay around here) has the 2 AA Mini-Mag WITH batteries & belt holster on CLEARANCE right now for $1.97 each. That's right - LESS THAN 2 BUX.![]()
The only one on clearance is the GREY one (I know, I'm BREAKING YOUR HEART) Model M2A09H ; all the others - even the tropical pink one - are still at regular price. :confused2:
Now I'll admit I have graduated to tactical LED models a long time ago especially for EDC; but at that price, it's perfect to just keep on the shelf for emergencies or to give away.

At that price, I'll take 6...

Cool... I have a gross on order!
-
Well this is a goof deal, I am surprised I did not see this sooner.
-
Not going to lie, I've definitely only been using the higher-end lights for a while, but in a pinch, a mini-mag works well. I still prefer my SureFire 6P over any other light I've got, but I still have a mini-mag in my backpack most of the time. lol
Thanks for the heads up, I'm going to order a few right now! I'll keep them in my box of "gift" items for when I find out about a birthday or something too late to get a "thoughtful" gift. lol -
This deal must be in store only as I cannot even find Maglites on their website.
-
Trooper -
I found it in-store... I couldn't find it online either.
As a side note; these:

are a REALLY handy item to have in the bottom of your backpack or glovebox.

Ohhh, lol, I was looking for the mag light, not the little light up nipples... no big deal - I see that it ain't available online.
Thanks -
Rob -
The main point of those two posts is that is IS only in stores.

Sometimes skimming the posts gets you confused... -
My Buddy went to Tarjay and couldn't find them... They had the hot pink ones for $7 though.... A little too rich for his blood!
-
Rick, you should paint your CF-30 hot pink and post pics...
-
You jest, but I was SERIOUSLY thinking about painting my GF's Dell D610 a nice metallic pink. She's a total girly-girl, and it would make her squee all over the place.
-
Paint and Toughbooks DO NOT go together... You jest... I know.
My wife wanted me to paint her CF-18 metallic pink.... But I think of resale... Uh, NO!
-
Oh dewed...
I mean REALLY... You Just GOTTA do it for her BD or somesuch. Get the shell, paint it & keep the parts hidden away somewhere... then when she's not looking, rebuild it with the new parts. That would be TOTALLY Bulldozer Chic...

The ottoman goes right over there... -
Can you get paint off without damaging the metal? My lid was painted silver presumably by the refurbisher. I would prefer the look of the magnesium itself.
-
We have all had this idea from time to time, but there are huge number of hidden costs with this. You will never recoup your investment when trying to resell a wife! To prevent a severe lost in capitalization, it is much better to try and accommodate this temporary demand clause and then try to amortize your costs over a long period of time.
-
Somewhere, Rick is spewing JD and Coke through his nose about now....
And I think the proper business term you were looking for would be "sunk cost"!
-
BTW, if you guys have any old AA Maglites that no longer function, do not toss them! You can remove the head (the end with the bulb) and put a rubber cap that would be used on the bottom of a chair leg to cover it. Now you have a waterproof container with a screw end (the end where you would normally put in the batteries)!
-
Yup.... Azrial is a closet comedian!
Silver... Are you suggesting a waterproof container for a battery?
-
Actually for anything you wish to put in it. The rubber/plastic cap will seal the one end and the alloy cap that screws on for the other end (it has an O-ring). Use it for matches, fire stick, cotton for tinder medication....anything you wish to keep dry and it will float if needed. Great for survival items.
-
I did this with one that the switch broke out on; I removed the reflector & siliconed the inside of the lens (it IS sealed with an o-ring, but I didn't trust it with the reflector removed). The head of the light ALSO has an o-ring seal at the barrel, and with a little Chap-Stick on the threads (a trick I learned to keep them healthy when I used 'em every day), it's MUCH easier to unscrew than the tailstock. It made a perfect container for my dental picks; and if I invert the barrel in the head like you would when using the flashlight for candle mode, it holds them up like a caddy.
