The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I just upgraded to firefox 9, restarted, and then came back to NBR to keep doin what I was doin,
    and I got a popup for Scorecard Research, who wanted my opinion. It was not a new window, I think it was java, maybe????not sure.

    My question is this: is that a random popup (then I need to tweak my security/protection), or from NBR (I can just continue to be annoyed)?

    i'm on it now.

    my wife could not understand why i was so angry about it popping up.
    because i'm very particular in what is on my computer and why as well as from where it came.
