Years ago Firefox seemed faster than IE so I switched. A while later I replaced Firefox with Chrome for the same reason. I'm a simple man... :D

Latest Windows Update - today - was immediately followed by a noticeable slowdown in Chrome and a change in the look of some ebay pages etc. Firefox seemed not much better so tried IE again out of curiosity.

Discovered that my Mk.1 19's touchpad scrolling works perfectly in IE9. I don't think it's ever worked in either of the other two browsers but always worked OK offline in Windows 7. Web pages again look and work as they should.

I've read that MS routinely & deliberately uses .net framework among other means to frustrate its competitors but I don't know the truth of the matter.

Would discussion of Microsoft's business practices risk breaking forum rules concerning "discussion of illegal activity?" No sarcasm intended.
