Recently One Click would not install all of the drivers on a CF52...
I have tried as administrator and that did not help. ..I tried the pinstall.bat to force install, that also failed...
Any method of trying to use the driver One Click put in the driver folder refused to work...
I had to download the Hot key packages separately and install the downloaded packages....
I also had to download and manually installed Common components and the Misc drivers....
Then the Hot keys worked....
The One Click bundles are a step in the right direction, but still need tweaked....
Another poster had similar issues with One Click on a CF30

Same situation with 19MK3 Win7 64 bundle.
Panasonic should rename these files to "115 clicks bundle"))
-
Didn't work for me with a CF-31 Mk1 Perf. There was no video driver, which mucked up the hotkey installation as well.
-
I wonder if the problem is the One Click install or the downloaded bundle itself?
-
The Bundles can be edited to install optional drivers. Do the non-installed drivers show with "##_ . . . . " prefaces on the filenames?
-
Ok extracted all to folder using 7zip...Now I see the filenames
No the problem drivers are NOT prefaced by ##
I would not consider the Common components or Misc driver to be optional..
The touchscreen and TPM, etc are marked ## as optionalLast edited: Apr 27, 2015 -
In my case there was no video driver in the bundle. It seems that the user is expected to top it up as required - the same bundle is offered for both Std and Perf versions.

I tried it for the CF-30. Worked too nicely it seemed. Yeah, didn't install a single thing!!!! Every component I checked, was still MS generic junk. SO going through one by one (well after TB downloads and installs over 250 windows updates....)
At LEAST the install instructions are mostly clear and easy to follow now... -
It means you didn't run it as administrator
-
I just did the CF-30Mk1 windows 7 on my beater demo unit, looks good as there are no missing drivers in device manager.
-
That is interesting, that they have bundles for Win7 on Mk1s and 2s when they don't supply the individual drivers.

Well in a way they do. You just need to do some reading on here and then you might know what you are looking for.

Another curious thing is that if you look for individual drivers under "CF-30 Mk1 C/E" there is an all-OS (up to Win 8) security update for the Bluetooth stack driver that doesn't appear anywhere in the "CF-30 Mk1 C/D" lists.
I guess the moral of the story is that it's best not to expect too much logic. ) -

as my brother-in-law stated when i was 10 years old :
"i went to the bathroom and i thought my pants were down ..."

It was dumb.....

i have a sister that is nine years older than myself .

That answers the dumb joke I deleted....
I had hoped I had removed my foot from my mouth before you had a chance to see it.... -
a oral orifice-podial commingling is better than a rectal-cranial inversion .
there are times when i do not stick my foot in my mouth ... i just keep swapping feet .

I am quite cable of accomplishing both of those tasks.....Even at the same time.....
I suppose we need to steer this back on topic, Oh great engineer (also known as a train driver or one who may drive things offtrack......)
I wonder WHY the One click bundles don't always install properly? I am guessing it's some sort of a batch file type of deal that just runs all the individual installers. It shouldn't be rocket science.
Maybe there are certain drivers that Windows keeps the default because Windows thinks it knows better than we do...
I would think that the one click installer would run the pinstall that does the force to install....
Maybe going to a administrator mode command line and then running One Click would work better???thewanderlustking likes this. -
on topic ...
over the years i have seen "one button push wonders" and many *batch file* compilations fall on their face even though they were claimed to be fool-proof .
i suspect that it is due to the/some slight variation between seemingly identical machines .
this is much like a manufacturer that had a random failure of a product for no apparent reason ...
ultimately the problem was traced back to a machine that torqued down certain cap-screws and the change out of the bit for those screws .
a brand new bit had no wear and contacted the mating portion on the cap-screw in a manner slightly different from a worn bit ...
this coupled with the random *tolerance run-out* of the quality of the screws themselves resulted in the failure .
in this case , it may just be that the software solution was not checked on/over a large enough portion of machines in the field and those machines designated as the "test bed QC" units .
(hey , they have to test it on *something* when they lash it together)Shawn likes this. -
I just finished putting Win 7 (32 bit) on a CF-19KDRANCA using the bundle from here:
http://www.mmnt.net/db/0/0/ftp.panasonic.com/computer/software/
It missed the WWAN and the Panasonic Info Viewer. Windows Update found the Novatel modem drivers and I got the Info Viewer from the Japanese Panasonic site and everything seems to be fine now. -
Avoid Windows 7 64 bit bundle on CF-19 MK3. It's much more fast and stable after manual drivers installation.
Too old Intel graphics, chipset and 5100 Wi-Fi drivers, unstable tablet buttons -

I figured out what one of the issues installing the bundles is. If you have tried and say forgotten to select "install as administrator" it may still partially work. It starts off by extracting the bundle.
If that extracted folder isn't deleted, future installs will also stop at the extraction, and not go all the way through. Also pretty obvious, but you will need to reboot after installing the bundle to complete it. It doesn't tell you this, but a few items run command windows on reboot. -
I've done a CF-30MK3 and a 52GUN. Only had to find one driver each as I remember.
I load OEM W7 PRO then drop the bundle in.
It's important to have the bios set to defaults. i.e. if GPS is disabled the gps routine may be ignored. Not sure on this need to do it again.
Not perfect but pretty good. -
Win7 64 bundle from the US site for a CF-C1B seems to have worked fine without missing anything.
-
Just did a CF-19P and it worked fine with an install of Win 7 pro.
One Click driver bundles....not perfect...
