It's the end of the year and you all have been very helpful with my endeavors. We gifted the CF-29 to our son this week, and he heads over to Afghanistan early next year. His unit is in a three month training cycle in Illinois before heading back over. He loves his ToughBook and has already loaded driver(s) to watch his movie collection. Apparently they trade movies while having down time over there, and he just backed up his external HD with over 600 movies on it! At any rate, my point is this:
One plus One Equals Three (or is it Four?). Of course I couldn't wait for his to arrive in the mail (not so very long ago). I found a touchscreen CF-29 nearby on CL and now I had two. You all got his up and running with sound and video drivers - Thank you again, and then I pulled a bone-I bought another CF-29 without a HD. Now I'm up to three, but realized the fact that I wanted to try something smaller. So, I sold that additional CF-29, and just bought a CF-18 that is coming from CA. It won't arrive till next year but now I know what you-all are talking about as I read through all the old threads that go way back...not many can stop at just one, just like the potato chip advertisement. Thanks again to all, and Happy New Year! :)

I wish your son the best of luck. I've done 4 tours in Iraq, and I can agree that movie watching is a huge pastime.

His Toughbook will make it just fine.

    ^ Indeed.

Me mates CF-29 didn't only survive one tour, but his wife is still using it every day. Probably would've survived even more given the chance. These are damn sturdy machines.
