The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

It’s a good start in organizing

Doobi you should add a link to the original thread

Sometimes the original thread contains extra info

    Paul,
Very nice, that seems like a really good approach. Alex, good idea for the link to the original thread for those who want to enjoy the process in addition to getting the info.

To tell the truth... I don't know.. I haven't closed yours.. People actually have listened to you! (And have not posted.)

Paul.... We can't start making random thread and posting a link back to the original... Or the forum will be posted with double threads... We need to have one to start and then you all can PM me with what you want added... I'll cut and paste it into the thread. Sound good?

I'll try to copy and paste the one that Tomcat suggested tomorrow with corrections/additions/deletions as needed for our forum.

    That’s a great idea

If a summary is made and submitted to Rick It can be posted a the beginning of the original thread, that keeps it simple

I like it! Sounds like a really great idea. And once resolved, maybe it can be locked and stickied at the beginning, or something like that?

This is getting better all the time. Rick, I was just hoping to take some of the load off you and be responsible for updating that post, it shouldn't take much. Give me another day to edit and add stuff and close it. I take it the plan is to link it into a master read me first sticky?
