I know the late model CF-18s and CF-29s as well as the CF-19 and CF-30 use PCI express minicards. Besides wireless lans, wireless wans and bluetooth, has anyone used wireless USB or GPS or digital TV in a toughbook in those? What considerations besides the different anetenna should be considered. It seems more "plug-and-play" for non pc-tech's like me and I would like to see what is possible.

In my 29, I use a Billionton BT PCMCIA card (the kind with the folding antenna). The only BT services that I have used so far have been to sync my Treo and to link my BT GPS units.

The Billionton BT (recommended to me by Toughbook of this site) card stays in the slot with the PCMCIA door closed. It is rather short range with the door closed but is sufficient for my needs so far. I also have the option of opening the door and extending the antenna, which greatly increases the rane.

I have models 28, m34 and 27 but I am considering a 29 or 18 for the ease of upgrading with the PCI-e. I've done it before on lattitudes and it was easy enough and I was curious about the many different PCI-e card options out there.
