This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    X61 has had a 2.14 bios update to improve the cardbus speed. Corrects something to do with it's the Ricoh R5C847 cardbus controller. HP 2510P that uses the same controller shows up to 70MB/s pcmcia e-sata data transfers as shown here.

    Right, but the question is about performance on a CF-29.
    I was wondering if it was worth using.

    The X61t is no longer among the living PC world, which is why we switched to Toughbooks. :)
