I recently bought some PDRC setups and was wondering if you could tell me what cable is used to connect the CF-28 or CF-29 to the black controller box.
Thanks

Perhaps the Mods(apparently now singular) will be kind enough to move your post to its own thread. -
Sorry, I had been searching the forum for an answer and came upon this post, and figured those answering might hold the answer.
EDIT I removed the picture as Im at work and dont have a way to resize it here. -
Also... Posted pictures should be 500 X 500 max. Can you please change it? -
There is a non-standard cable that goes from the CF-29 mount to the large connector at lower left in the picture. If you didn't get the mount & cable with the parts shown, the other option is what Capt said and connect the PDRC parts directly to the back of the CF-28/29. Won't work with CF-29 Mk4/5 that don't have a PS-2 style connector for a keyboard in the back.

Thanks for the responses, and Toughbook, I removed the picture, as I didn’t have a way to resize it immediately.
I didn’t get the mount or the cable with my purchase, just the monitor, keyboard and the cables that connect each to the box; one power supply, red tip, though I don’t know if it goes to the black box or the monitor itself.
I'll try connecting both directly to the computer when able. I also bought a CF-07 today, so I’ll see how that works as well.
Not a problem with the CF-29 version, as I only have mark 1 & 2, no mark 4 or 5.
I was curious about the box, as I hadn’t seen one before. The toughbooks we have in our cars cf-29/30 have a large mount with a number of cables, but no control type box like the one I bought.
I don’t have one assigned at the moment, but they left the mount in my truck, cables and a few other mounted inline boxes back behind the seats. However I think the boxes are the old radio modem and GPS unit, as now they’re using aircards.
The ultimate goal here, or what I’m trying to work out is a way to take six or more of these (PDRC) mounted on some type of rolling platform, a trailer maybe, something that can be rolled out each day to a spot in a day camp for kids to use. Think hotdog cart with computers on all sides. The problem here, the day camps are based in or adjacent to refuge camps in Haiti, so security is an issue. Not worried about the whole thing being hauled away during camp hours, just don’t want a bunch of laptops sitting out in the open, to tempting. I was thinking mounting the PDRC externally with the laptops mounted inside a secure steel mesh box mounted to the frame with holes for the cabling. For all you heavy modifiers, I’m open to suggestions or designs. -
Sorry about omitting the keyboard cable, I don't use the Panasonic keyboard all that often. I install the display only usually and use a third party USB keyboard. The set up you describe will work fine without any sort of break out box.

Orphanir.... What about this....
You could prepare to mount a board on top of a rolling cart. You could then drill holes in the four corners corresponding to the four screws in the corners of the Toughbook. Just place them where you want them and then screw up through the board into the four corners of the Toughbooks. Then you could affix the board to the top of the cart. Then you'd just need to supply power to the toughbooks. I know this isn't as convenient as a dock but may be worth a try. Either that or something similar as what they do in electronic stores... Just fashion a wire bar to go across the keyboard strip up close to the LCD. If it were thin enough you could still close the LCD...
