    Have a look here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=408117

There is enough room under the plastic bars on the side of the lcd-panel up to an normal ceramik patch antenna of 1cmx1cm. Or an GEOHelix without rubber on the top :)
And if u don't use 2 antennas for WWAN, so u can use the antennacable from one of this preinstalled wwan-antennas for ur GPS-antenna.

eno...You may use this antena in order to concealed to one of it side cover: http://secure.conwin.com/cgi-bin/st...0.56&act=&aff=&pg=prod&ref=53671&cat=&catstr= and this gps module by taking out the patch antena. It is the right fit to the righ location where the oem gps mount. If you need an interface cable just give me a shout and send me 12c cable ribbon and its header connector with round cable and I will do it for you.....ohlip......

I knowthis is the wrong place, but the CF-29 gps thread is so convoluted with so many suggestions, its very hard for the lay person to get to grips with! and ive read all 30 pages several times!!!

is there something that works which isnt $150 or $600!!! i dont need to get pinpoint accuracy in a sewer under fire, i just need something that Ill occasionally use which is fairlyaccurate outdoors. that doesnt require too much dismanting!

    A tall order I know! :)

    Matt -

The first page is onirakiss' hack for using a $16 USB GPS module; he hacked it internally, but no reason you can't just plug one into your USB port. Then, just stick it on the lid with sticky Velcro...

If you want something INTERNAL, then no... there's NO EASY ANSWER. You HAVE to do some real modding for that; it's not like Panasonic's gonna put a USB port INSIDE the laptop for you to plug whatever you want into it...
