    HI,It can not be that pushing the keys FN / F4 the drivers disappear, I have however double-checked and all the drivers are there ,find it strange that FN only works with F1-F2 more or less brightness;
    F3 back light ,F4(stop sound), F5/F6 more or less volume , F7/F9/F10 not working now when I press FN.

    Can you run a Linux live cd/usb stick to test the sound?

    Linux can be used as a diagnostic tool. Don't ignore this answer please.

    I have had this issue several times.

    1. FYI if the sound is disabled in Linux it will also be disabled in Windows. You may need to turn sound back on in Linux before running Windows successfully. If disabled in Windows it will need to be re-enabled in Windows.
    2. Drivers do not cure everything but here is a sample. From Panasonic jp. https://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/itn/support/vistainfo6_29lmnp.html.....Vista may have the basic drivers that you need.

    Just curious, is this the same unit you posted about in 2015?

    Thanks,

    Jeff
