I have a Panasonic CF-19 mk3 laptop with an embedded GOBI 1000 aircard. I would like to purchase a 4G card for this laptop. What model of aircard is available that I could install in this laptop? Thanks.

Unfortunately you cannot put a 4G card in an MK3.

You need MK5 (CF-19A) or later for that.

    Thanks!

Rob do you know why this is the case? Qualicomm's punch line with Gobi products is basically any Gobi modem in any hardware, anywhere. Or something to that affect. I have a MC7750 installed in a CF-19K. Windows 7 is correctly ID'ing the modem. It shows (4) MC7750's (drivers uninstalled) in Device Manager. Tried the Lenovo drivers. Tried the Verizon drivers from Panasonic support. No luck. VZAM reports the WWAN is switched off. Which isn't the case if Windows 7 can ID the hardware.

    Thanks in advance!

It has to do with FCC licensing... Stupid I know, but it is what it is.

I once put an ATT 4G LTE card into my old CF-19 MK4 and it worked.... KINDA.... just had TONS of glitches. If your computer went to sleep it would NEVER re-connect.

    Good luck!
