    Description: PIII600, 13.1"XGA/TOUCH, 128, 20GB, FDD, 56K, WIN 98

I see you have a mark one. If possible price wise I would Looking into a Mk2 or newer. But I am not sure how hard that will be to find in your country.

First thing to do is remove the battery, hard drive, wireless card and any other add on accessory to see if the computer will boot then. IF it does boot you have a problem with one of the things you took out.

Most guys are going to suggest you move up to a CF29 at least. CF29s are cheap right now..Where are you?

If you are stuck with the CF-28... Take apart (taking the motherboard out entirely if possible) and check continuity on all the white boxes you see on the motherboard. Those are fuses. I would bet that one of them is blown. On most of them there is enough room for you to solder in an automotive type Buss fuse if you can't find the stock type. I have done that many times to fix a CF-28 when I didn't have the correct fuse. Just make sure it is rated the same. (Volts & Amps)

    thanks for yours quick answers

ADOR: that was first thing what i did , nothing happened...

Shawn: my current location is Slovakia it is small state in middle europe (you can barely see it on map) and because im student i dont have enough money to buy CF - 29.I got this wreck for 30 euro and it looks to be only one toughbook in my country so i decided to not put too much money i it , max 50 euro with delivery. But thx for your offer.

Toughbook: book is disassebled already and on whole mobo i found 6 fuses (dont know if its all of them) i measured them with multimeter and they are ok, but when i checked that i found som strange mod that might been made by someone, it was yellow cable connecting IC56 and
    C404

Sadlmkr: as i answered to ADOR i live in Slovakia and shipping cost will be around 40 euro

number was located on sticker under ram and another one is on another side of mobo .That one says DFUP1117ZA

so thats all i hope i answered all your questions and i hope that you will be able to help me , if not it wont matter so much because i got it for 30

Most of the time when there is cable \ wire connecting 2 components on a PCB \ Motherboard is because of burnt or missing tracks
