Hi guys, I am new to this forum so in advance thank again for any support.

I have a CF-30 MK2. Been working fine for a while. I recently got a black screen without any warning on it. Ever since, when i boot up i get no video ( LCD screen or External VGA ), I see the HDD light flash at the once or twice but nothing else. I don't get any error code beeping. I have swapped out HDD and RAM without success.

Now i am debating if it's the back light of the LCD or inverter ( Which i tried to look closely with a flash light but don't see anything ) or if it's the motherboard.

Any support to try and target my problem would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried Fn F3 to see if it will switch to the external monitor? If after doing that you still get no video then I am afraid you got a bad motherboard. If it was just the backlight on the laptop you would still get external video.

Yes I tried pressing on the FN+F3 and no result. Thats what i figured. I will try doing more tests. But i guess thats how the cookie crumbles.

A CF-30 MK2 should still be under warranty, you may want to call panasonic at 1-800-laptop5 and see what they tell you.
