Any updates to AX3 in September? my Japanese is not exisitng. Did anyone got 3G WLAN card working in the tablet? What i need mostly in the tablet is GPS. And that often comes with 3G WLAN card.
Or do you have any other idea how to put the GPS into this unit?

I'm realy trying not to purchase flimsy Sony DUO 11 for my drivetesting project.

There currently is a South pole expedition going on (Scott Expedition) which relies on a Sony Vaio Pro and a Panasonic CF-AX2:

    Intel-Technologie bei Südpol-Expedition: Film-TV-Video

British polar explorer leaves the UK for ground-breaking Antarctic expedition

The Panasonic doesn't seem to have been given much media attention... I guess Panasonic is not sponsoring the expedition, but these guys still need reliable equipment. ;-)

What is curious is that the press release talks about 4th gen processors, while the CF-AX2 usually has a 3rd gen processor...

i think whether they have Ivy Bridge or Haswell is irrelevant in the context of a south pole expedition - ruggedness and reliability should be the 1st priority - I'm not sure the AX2 is the proper laptop to use - a CF-52/53, or better CF-19/31 would be. Heck, even the C2 is more suitable than the AX2.

Not sure about the CF-AX2 but the CF-AX3 enables you to set the language to English in the BIOS.

The CF-AX2 also has this feature in the bios but some of the drivers are only in Japanese. Terrible pain upgrading to Windows 8.1

The biggest complaint I have is the keyboard is a pain to use, especiaaly if you are used to old panny keyboards. I remember when the T1 came out the mouse was terrible and later improved in T2.
