Anybody have/use one of these carrying cases for the CF-30??

Have and use. Convenient to carry documents with the TP to a meeting and "dress up" the computer a bit. Quirky design. The case is a wrap-around design. They provide velcro strips to put on the computer top and bottom to hold the case in place when you open it. The velcro isn't needed when the case is closed up because there are straps that go on either side of the computer's handle. These straps keep the computer from sliding out the side of the case - but they made the straps a bit too short so it can be difficult to get them clipped closed. I put the velcro on the bottom because it is almost invisible on the black base - I left it off the front because it messed up the clean looks of the magnesum top. Good construction. Comes with a shoulder strap you can attach to one D-ring on the front of the case and another on the rear. I don't use this however, I use a heavy duty shoulder strap I found at a camera store that attaches directly to the computer's D-rings but the strap itselt can be unclipped when in the way. I leave it on all the time so I can use the bre Cf-30 with the shoulder strap or also use it with the TM30. The TM30 is avalable all the time on eBay for $90 but I've seen them new for as low as $60 and used for $50. Hope this helps.

Got two of these from the ebaY seller above; and they are "New-in-the-Box."
BTW: Here's Panasonic's line of Carrying Cases and Straps. -
I don't know where they came up with the idea that the TM30-P was just for the CF-30. It works with just fine with the 28, 29 and 30. I have all three and have tested it with all three. (You probably will want to use at least one of the velcro strips that come with the case when using it with the 28 or 29 - just to be safe.)
