    Hi there,

I'm looking to upgrade the RAM currently has 2 x 512 sticks of memory in it, however access appears to be a bit limited. By the looks of it you can only remove the one stick without removing the entire bottom section of the laptop - Is this correct? Additionally does anyone know where i could find the service manual for it?

    Thanks

    Joe.

Yes you can only remove one stick with the access door, you have to remove the whole bottom to do it, it's not bad though. Just make sure you use a good screw driver.

    As for the manual

Most of the Mk1's I usually just run 3gb of ram. You can go to 4gb but you can't use it all. The core duo is 32bit only CPU.

Change one of 512 sticks (top) to 2GB. It's enough for MK1.
If you want more - you will have to remove bottom cover. That's easy too, but no much sense for your 32-bit PC.

Well lets do it this way? How do you plan on using it? or what do you need it to do? Also one of best upgrades besides ram you can do is add a SSD.
