Hi! With the recent sale of the W8 I discovered the business rugged toughbooks and I believe they are amazing but they are no very popular in the forum. I plan on buying a J9 if the CF-74 does not comes down in price (its a bit heavy too) once I sell my CF-52 (Need something lighter). Maybe we could make an owner's lounge for all the business rugged computers from panasonic as they don't seem to be upgraded often in the west (old versions of Japanese Let's notes). If the S9 had an expresscard for the Vidock I would have bought one already, I hate the white keyboard on this machines tough, it gets yellowish adn quite dirty with time.

I dunno - aside from the nifty optical drive, the W8 didn't impress me that much; it seemed actually more "flexy" and less solid than the *Dun Dun DUNNN!* Dell in my sig.

True that; I got the Dell as a replacement from an insurance claim. I really didn't WANT to like it; in fact, I started using it fully expecting to hate it.
The GPU has not given me any issue; though it's true, I only use it as a work machine & rarely have need to push its limits. I'm getting to a point of needing more than it can deliver now; I think maxing out the RAM and upgrading to 7 will resolve those issues. This I can do now that the extended warranty has run out, I just need time in the middle of umpty-zillion other projects and work on top of it all.

And then there's the two small children...
