Okay, So just recently I had a job where I had to install a program on this Toughbook CF-18 for a customer. Program had some problems and I ended up having to Reformat the Computer.

    So here is what happened:

    - She gave me Windows XP Professional to reformat with and then realized she had a different disc Labeled Windows XP Tablet Edition 2005. I installed the Table Edition after noticing the Windows XP Pro not responding to the drivers I was directed to by Panasonic's Tech-Help Department over the phone.

So right now I am currently stuck with a non-responding Touch Screen which won't work or detect the drivers I installed etc.etc.etc. Tried the Calwin.exe but it gives me a " TouchPanel Driver Not Found" which leads me to yanking out more hairs from my head in a 1-week frustration rampage.

Here are is the Model # for this Toughbook-

    CF - 18DH822K8

Any help on what Drivers I'm supposed to be downloading from the Panasonic Driver helper? Or what Drivers I need? Please in Desperate Need of help to get this Touchscreen working again.

If you get the "model does not support" problem trying to extract the files try extracting the exe with 7zip. I have used xp pro on a machine for the digitizer that had xp tablet on it and got it all working. It should work in reverse. If you already have a xp pro OEM disk (any OEM disk) so the COA will match it go ahead and put it on to save the time on matching up and making the drivers work.

I'm surprised no one has suggested looking for restore disks. I never felt the need for them with CF-27s, 28s, or 29s but the CF-18 is a true bear to manually load. One slip with the driver order and you are going back to the beginning.

Cap is right on the restore disk, you will spend hours loading drivers and one wrong move and its back to the start again. You can find them on ebay for around $35.00 and is well worth it as anyone on here will tell you and it only takes about 30-40 minutes to install it. The restore disk is an image of the harddrive when it left the factory.

    Are we sure it's DH822K8? That's a strange number.
