I recently received a shipment of CF-19 Mark 3's with Dual touch. They came with Windows 7 already installed on them and the touchscreen works correctly. We must reimage them to run on Windows XP because our company is outdated. When I put our image on them, the touchscreen driver is not installed and the touchscreen is not working. I went over to Panasonic's website, found the model of my Toughbook and downloaded the correct driver for my device. When I go to install it, the install file says not supported. I did install a generic driver from WACOM and that worked with the digitizer stylus, however I was under the assumption that dual touch meant it can work with both stylus. Any suggestions on getting the Fujitsu touch panel (not the digitizer touch panel) back?

Now it seems that the calibration is not working. The readme for the file doesn't make sense. It is telling me to edit a parameter for the registry to make the calibration work, however it isn't there.

    CF19D
    That's a mk1 not a mk3.
    What's the Bios version number?
You will probably have to flash the BIOS to the XP version

You are missing one letter or number in your model number. Should be 7 letters/numbers after the 19.

I saw it, I saw it....

Missing a C or F or ? in front of the D. First page in bios is the place to locate the model #. The bottom label is not to be trusted.

That would be the easiest solution, unfortunately we have our own custom image that has to be placed on the device with all our company programs and everything. Is there not a driver I can download or a file that I can downgrade the BIOS with?

There is only one bios version for a mk3 that I am aware of...
Mk1 has a different bios for xp or vista/win7..

I suggest you buy the official restore disk and install it.....
Then install your company programs......make an image of that completed unit......use your image to setup all of the other units.

Unless your company image is specific for a CF19 mk3, I think you will have problems...CF19's are VERY finicky to setup.....

The best advise I have would be to make a new company image specific to a CF19 mk3.
You can manually install all of the CF19 drivers after you load the company image, on every unit if you want to. That sounds like a PITA to me. And a lot of wasted time.

I found this in another thread.

Kind of late to the party, but the Panasonic Canada site has a download just now for "CF19K_mk3_BIOSV3.01L22" which is the "BIOS for CF19Kxxxxx series XP OS computers. Do NOT downgrade v3.01Lxx to v3.00Lxx".
    Hope that helps someone.

No joke. Our company is still using XP just upgraded to Windows 7 in the past 5 months here in our office. I appreciate the advice, thanks again!
